Idol Chit Chat: Top 24 - NY's Finest and Poor Casey Abrams
American Idol’s Tenth Season Top 24 celebrate at an event presented by Motorola, AT&T, FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment
Well here they are ladies and gents, your top 24 for "American Idol" season 10!
Has it really been 10 years that we've been watching this blasted show!?
No sooner are they announced than one of the front runners, poor Casey Abrams is rushed to the hospital with stomach pains. But never fear, it seems he was released in time to do a taping for the show and let's hope he stays healthy.
It's been very strange not having Simon Cowell to kick around, but I must say, Jennifer Lopez is growing on me and Steven Tyler, though he's been kind of the dirty old rocker-man of the judging panel, has toned it down a bit and settled into his judging seat.
Jennifer's meltdown last week after having to tell Chris Medina to go home showed a side of her I think few of us expected and it actually made me like her more.
And the judges aren't the only big change this year. Introducing...online voting! Will the internet be able to stand the strain!? Not to mention the conspiracy theorists?
I've got some favorites already, but today I'll just point out the contestants from my own neck of the woods, New York City:
Robbie Rosen
Karen Rodriguez
Pia Toscano
Rachel Zevita
The boys will sing on Tuesday, March 1st--that's right, no "Glee" this week--the girls will sing on Wednesday March 2nd and the results will be revealed on Thursday March 2rd. All shows start at 8pm.
Let the games begin!
