It's here!  Oscar night.  And also here is my annual list of 10 things to look out for:

  1. How co-hosts Anne Hathaway and James Franco will do a really great job hosting or a really bad job hosting.  There won't be an in-betweeen.
  2. When "Black Swan" squeaks through the vote split between "The Social Network" and "The King's Speech" to win Best Picture, the audience will actually gasp.
  3. How beautiful and touching Natalie Portman will be when she wins Best Actress for "Black Swan."
  4. How beautiful and touching Colin Firth (pictured above) will be when he wins Best Actor for "The King's Speech."
  5. How stunned everyone will be when Hailee Steinfeld wins Best Supporting Actress for "True Grit"
  6. Aaron Sorkin saying some kind of controversial social statement when he wins for Best Adapted Screenplay for "The Social Network."
  7. How much we'll miss Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins saying some kind of controversial social statement as presenters.
  8. Some kind of mention of Elizabeth Taylor who turns 79-years-old today and is hospitalized with heart problems.
  9. How gorgeous Sandra Bullock will look a year after her Oscar win and her tabloid-loving marital breakup.
  10. How more than one person will mention the upheaval in the Middle East and how they'll awkwardly try to tie it into the glory that is movies.

See you on the red carpet.
