Well they did it! The Gabby Girls snagged President Barack Obama as a guest and were rewarded with big ratings and slams from a former co-host and a former vice presidential candidate.
Today, the show was still aglow with their presidential coup. As Whoopi Goldberg sang at one point, "We've got the sweeeeeeeeeetest hangover...!" Even resident Republican Elisabeth Hasselbeck looked like she was rethinking swigging that right wing cool-aid after Obama invited her and her family, along with Sherri Shepherd and her son, to visit the White House.
Barbara Walters had returned to her sick bed, but not before doing her interview thing yesterday, where the president calmly laid out his accomplishments and refused to acknowledge, rightfully so, that he'd ever heard of Snooki. Considering she got arrested today on disorderly conduct charges, the man had amazing foresight.
But there were the slams by Sarah Palin and former co-host of "The View," Rosie O'Donnell. Rosie thought a sitting president shouldn't do a "fluffy" daytime talk show. And Palin thought the president should have taken more time to enjoy the view of the Mexican/American border.
