Tonight's "The Closer" Directed By Kevin Bacon

The_closer Tonight's episode of "The Closer" is a family affair.  Star Kyra Sedgwick's real life husband, Kevin Bacon directed the episode "Sudden Death" which find's Deputy Police Chief Brenda Johnson and her squad hunting for the killer of Det. Julio Sanchez's brother.

Emmy nominee Sedgwick gets to shine as does Raymond Cruz who plays Det. Sanchez in this gripping episode that has as it's focus the senselessness of gang violence.

I haven't watched "The Closer" much this season but whenever I do, I'm always drawn in by Sedgwick's very natural portrayal of Brenda Johnson.  She's a steel magnolia who's not afraid to get her hands dirty and I'm almost never disappointed by tuning in.

If you want some added entertainment after watching the episode, you can always play the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game by trying to figure out which of the other actors in the show have Kevin Bacon connections.  You can put your answers in the comments section.  Happy hunting!

The Closer airs weekly on TNT at 9 PM.
