Dana Delany On "Regis & Kelly"
Katherine Mayfair herself, Dana Delany made an appearance on "Regis & Kelly" this morning.
The ABC publicity machine has been in overdrive, keeping their "Desperate Housewives" and "Grey's Anatomy" stars busy on the ABC interview circuit of "The View" and "Regis." Last week Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross were on "The View," Eric Dane and James Pickens, Jr. appeared on "Regis," and tomorrow Dr. McDreamy himself, Patrick Dempsey will sit down with Reege as well.
I guess ABC thought since the actors aren't working because of the writer's strike, they should at least be working to publicize the few shows in the can that will air during the final days of the November sweeps.
Back to Ms. Delany though. She looked particularly Kat-like in her Wisteria Lane green as she told Reg and Kel about the big disaster about to befall the suburban paradise of "Desperate Housewives." In case you haven't heard what it is, I won't tell you here, but it's a "Who will live?" plot line that will reportedly put several major characters in grave danger.
When describing Katherine Mayfair, Ms. Delany said, "She's very complicated. Clever. People might say evil, I don't think so." Heh.
I guess we'll find out just how evil after the strike.
Delany was originally offered the role of Bree Van De Kamp and though she turned it down, she was thrilled to take the role of Katherine Mayfair when Marc Cherry offered it. She grew up in Connecticut, where her Mom still lives, and she's home for Thanksgiving.
A little side note for those of you waiting with bated breath for the recap of last week's (11/11/07) "Desperate Housewives" episode, it'll be posted by the end of the week. I gave myself a break, because this week's show (11/18/07) was pre-empted and I desperately...couldn't help myself...needed time to get the house ready for Thanksgiving.
